Just before the Marne reaches it confluence with the Seine in Paris, a short canal cuts off a 13km loop. This canal is known as the Canal de St Maur and has a lock and a tunnel.

The next cut is called Canal de Chalifert and starts at Chalifert lock and rejoins the Marne in Meaux. These planks are alongside lock 14 - Écluse de Chalifert.
